November 2025 Updates

Today is a rather blustery day in the Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh Bear, as I sit in my study with a cup of coffee and reflect.

Outside my window, the fiery brilliance of October has given way to the brittle, coppery remnants of November.

As the year is drawing closer to an end, I feel gratitude for another trip around the sun and the opportunities to create afforded me along the way.

I’m adding to my sanctum here nearly every week, with degrees of discipline, focus, and fervor I’ve never had before.

Here are just a few new additions:

Sanctums of Sound

In last month’s newsletter, I announced the start of a new YouTube channel devoted to my new music projects—immersive dark ambient tracks with themed visualizers—which I have decided to christen Sanctums of Sound.

This marks a fresh arc in my journey as a composer, after more than two decades of seeking a place in the fading worlds of rock and electronica.

I’ve now turned toward a style of music that opens doors into lost places, far‑off realms, and deeper layers of the psyche—syncing my release model with today’s pulse of content creation: smaller offerings, shared more frequently.

My latest release is a one‑hour loop called Lenore: a dark piano composition woven with nocturnal sounds. Its visualizer features a mysterious raven‑haired beauty leading the listener through moonlit ruins of memory.

If you’re seeking a companion for writing, dreaming, or escaping into shadowed serenity, Lenore awaits on my channel below.

You could help me stoke the sacred flames if you did any (or all) of the following:

  1. Give the video a Like
  2. Subscribe to the channel
  3. Share the video
  4. Add the video to a playlist
  5. Comment on the video
  6. Buy me a coffee

I’ve got plenty more compositions to produce and release, so stay tuned.

Greycross

The first Greycross serial novel, Twilight at Primrose, now spans 18 chapters—all published to the sanctum and free to read.

With winter drawing near, it’s the perfect time to pick up a new series.

A slow‑burn Gothic Fantasy woven with labyrinthine mystery, gritty action, and occult horror, Greycross is a fitting companion for nights spent by the fire, curled in your favorite chair.

Balance

Between daily tasks and toils, I’m grateful to be enjoying a beautiful balance of work and play these days.

I’ve always been a lifelong enthusiast of physical culture—strength training and mixed martial arts have shaped me for over two decades, and they even find their way into my fiction.

Sundays are my active recovery days, when I trade the grind for flow work— Indian clubs, steel mace, qigong, mobility—or simply a hike along the mountainside trails near my home.

I almost always take my son with me. Now fifteen, he was diagnosed with autism at age two, yet he continues to flourish—full of humor, growing talents, and a wholesome spirit. He defies labels and reminds us daily how to live in the moment.

Out on our favorite nature trails, there is a quiet pulse that centers us both—the gentle breath of the forest air, the strength of the mountain beneath our feet. We can walk for miles without speaking, yet remain completely connected.

In the Works

A new chapter of Greycross will arrive next week, with more to follow. I’m leaping back and forth between composing and editing, finding an enjoyable balance enabled by the serial fiction format I’ve chosen for this story.

As I’ve said before, I’m not going to hide away for years chasing perfection or validation—I’m committed to the living, mythic canon and pressing forward as if tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

December will bring another Sanctums of Sound release, as the monthly rhythm of these immersive visualizers is proving to be a good fit—and more than enough to stimulate the almighty algorithm.

I’ve been encouraged by comments from writers and other listeners who’ve found the music helps them slip into flow and focus, or simply escape the pervasive noise of the modern world. That kind of resonance makes the effort to produce these Sanctums of Sound pieces worthwhile.

Lastly, I’ll be publishing some insightful articles in my “For Creators” series, as well as some philosophical posts I’ve been scribbling on my days of reflection.

That’s all for now.

Cheers!
