What begins as a par force hunt quickly unravels into something older and darker than any of them expect.

Journeying deep into the mists and trees, they might just find that all the whispers of wraiths, witches, and an entity that is both wolf and man are true.

Guilt, inheritance, superstition, old gods, and the uncanny all converge in a story that feels like it’s been waiting centuries to be told.

A DARK SCI-FI SHORT STORY (2019)

Written in 2019, Dark Glass Protocol is my first foray into Dark Sci-Fi and Speculative Fiction.

Cpt. Ethan Nielson’s company onboards the US Army’s second-generation SCOUT—a deadly, semi-autonomous robotic soldier—two years after the first-generation model went berserk and slaughtered its entire squadron. Nielson and his team must conduct a delicate operation alongside the powerful machine, placing their fates in the hands of the engineers who designed the “perfect soldier”.

DEAD GODS

A MYTHIC SHORT STORY (2019)

“Dead Gods” was written years before I understood the mythic patterns that now shape my work. At the time, I thought I was simply telling a strange tale about fallen giants and a frightened tribe. Only later—through depth psychology and mythic study—did I realize the story was really about the rupture between an animistic world and the arrival of civilization and imposed religion.

Looking back, this piece marks the first emergence of themes that continue through my later writing: the collapse of old cosmologies, the loss of intimacy with the sacred, and the human caught between worlds. The craft here is rougher, the technique less refined, but the underlying resonance was already present.

I’ve left the story mostly untouched so it can stand as an early artifact of the voice I would eventually grow into.
