I created a nifty little book trailer which you can watch below (I even wrote the musical cue myself!):

This is a very important book for me, because it’s the first story I’ve published that truly represents the author I have become.

I published a Dark Sci-Fi story and some other tales years ago which all fell short of what truly felt inspiring to me. Through lots of experimenting and listening to the deeper part of my being, I began to channel stories like Wulfwoode that were much more aligned with my mythic sensibilities and my soul.

About Wulfwoode

Genres: Dark Fantasy / Folk-Horror

“A tight, atmospheric descent into an ancient and haunted liminal space for a confrontation with the monstrous.”

Eldric has spent his life hunting wolves.

When a wealthy duke offers him a small fortune to lead a ceremonial par force hunt, Eldric cannot refuse—the payment could bring the right physician to his gravely ill wife.

The hunt, however, is to take place in an ancient and sacred wood the superstitious northern clans call Wulfwoode.

With his fourteen-year-old son, Wyllan, at his side, Eldric leads the duke’s party beneath the trees. But wolves are not the only creatures moving through the mist, and the forest obeys laws far older and stranger than those of any king.

Soon the hunters are scattered, the path home has vanished, and something uncanny has awakened within the forest.

Now Eldric must find Wyllan before the many unearthly dangers of Wulfwoode claim him—and learn whether a man who has spent his life killing can ever escape the beast within.

Content Notice: This tale wanders through shadowed places and touches on themes of violence, loss, and the uncanny. Sensitive readers may wish to tread gently.

Adjacent Content

Over on my YouTube channel, I have a contemplative Legends & Lore episode where I dive into the research for Beastform that serendipitously inspired Wulfwoode:

Lastly, I like to celebrate the completion of a project by not only treating myself to a few pints of my favorite craft beers but creating some sort of relic inspired by my journey through the story.

When I was on vacation recently in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, I purchased a handcrafted hunter’s knife, which I thought was quite fitting for the Wulfwoode story and its main protagonist, wolf-hunter Eldric.

To take it a step further, I used a pyrography pen to adorn the sheath of my new knife with the wolf’s head talisman made by Eldric’s wife in the story. I really like the way it turned out, especially since I did it freehand:

Now it’s time for a little bit of rest and reflection before getting back to preparing my next release: the long overdue first novel in my Greycross series, Twilight at Primrose. I’m looking at a solid early November publication date!

If you find yourself drawn into the ancient and liminal Wulfwoode, a thoughtful review on Amazon or Goodreads would be much appreciated. Reviews help the right readers find my work, and genuinely spreads happiness throughout the land!

Thanks as always!
