Liam Keith Official YouTube Launch

For the past weeks, I have been absolutely locked in on finishing books.

I’m talking Iceman and Maverick in a dogfight from the original Top Gun locked in.

However, I managed a few important milestones for adjacent projects.

Old Man vs. Camera

In the last updates, I mentioned starting an official YouTube channel which will serve as a living archive of my creative journey.

Well, the channel has officially launched!

Below, I present to you my humble first offering: Episode 001 “The Serpentine Path” of my Mythic Musings series:

I’m really pleased with the way this turned out. I was able to utilize my graphic design, videography, and original music to create something that embodies the vibe, aesthetic, and atmosphere I wanted.

This video explores my long, winding path from early childhood creative energy to my befuddling college career, and from a 15-year detour as a corporate scientist to burning out and rediscovering my creative calling.

It’s a good listen/watch for anyone with a creative soul who is misaligned with their day job, who keeps the creative fire burning despite the pressures of the mundane world (looking at you, all you indie writers, artists, musicians, film makers, etc.).

My approach here is long-form, contemplative, and ambient—not flashy, hyped, or another turbo dopamine hit. Basically, the antithesis to brainrot, AI slop, and 19-year-old broccoli-headed influencers.

It’s totally unscripted, just me shooting from the hip and speaking from the heart. I tried writing and reading a script, but it was cringey as hell.

What I achieved, instead, was far more authentic.

If you enjoy my work, please do me a favor by liking the video or subscribing to the channel (open the video above or click HERE to go the channel).

The channel is going to feature:

  • Mythic Musings — unscripted, deep dialogues from my study or out in resonant places, weaving creativity, writing, indie author life, depth psychology, philosophy, mythology, spirituality, and much more.
  • From the Wilds — totally unscripted, freeflow mythic walk‑n‑talk journaling from the forests, mountains, and other places of natural beauty that inspire my work and my soul.
  • Legends & Lore – Original mythos, worldbuilding, cosmology, creatures, histories, metaphysics from my stories and scholarly books.
  • Passages – short “lived-in” analyses inspired by a randomly picked passage from my home library.
  • Narrated by the Author — immersive readings from my novels, short stories, poetry, and scholarly works.
  • Evolving content, unified by atmosphere, authenticity, and the search for meaning.

Right now, I have around 10 videos recorded and edited, which will be released once per week. I’m recording two or three new videos every Friday, so I was smart enough to get ahead of the content curve with a backlog of videos I can upload without any pressure.

What’s more, I really quite enjoy making videos. I see this whole outlet as just another medium through which to create art, like my music and writing.

Speaking of writing …

Wulfwoode Update

My Dark Fantasy / Folk-Horror novella Wulfwoode is in the final stages of editing, and I’m closing in on an end-of-September publication date.

I’m really proud of this story. I’m hoping it will slowly find its intended audience, however long it takes, and that they will love it, too.

I’ll be posting a few videos on Wulfwoode and adjacent subjects on my official channel, so please subscribe if you’re following my work.

As for my other books, I’m on track to publish Beastform: A Codex of Werewolf Legends & Lore as well as the first Greycross novel, Twilight at Primrose, before December of this year. Both are in the final stages of editing and will be important foundations of my indie author career.

I can’t wait.

Music

My long-form ambient music channel, Mechanical Angel, is still growing steadily. I’ve recently published some new piano suites w/ rain sounds and some experimental Dark Fantasy ambient tracks, perfect for writing, reading, focus, wordlbuilding, coding, folding clothes, contemplating existence, clipping your toenails, or filing your taxes. Check out the channel HERE.

Additionally, I reskinned several album covers for my legacy music projects. You can check my discography out by clicking HERE.

I particularly love the new album covers for my Alternative-Metal project, Drive the Ghost, which was active from around 2017 to 2022. I still have some remasters and unreleased material to put out, so the project is far from dead.

Till Next Time

Back to my toiling I go.

The next update you will receive from me will be the official publication of Wulfwoode (yes, I’m that close!).

Cheers!
